I'm a Wife. I'm a Mother. I'm a Photographer.
I have a photo-journalistic approach to photography. I think pictures that are taken "in the moment" tell the best stories. :)

We had a snow storm on Thursday. It was the first storm that Mia's really gotten to "enjoy" since she was born. We got more snow today (well, last night)..but it's freezing rain outside right now so we're not going to go out and play in it until the rain stops. I'm dying to make a snowman!!
Here are some pictures from Thursday.
Morning. This is what it looked like when I stepped out the front door:
I had the opportunity to take pics of Triplets yesterday. They were so much fun (and so well behaved!). Here is my favorite picture from the bunch -- I'll post a couple more once they're edited!
Last weekend I had a session with a family of eight. They are a beautiful family and were all SO much fun to be around. Here a couple of my favorites...
Yesterday I had a session with 5 month old Molly. She was such a sweetie pie. Here are a couple of the pictures that I've edited so far... And here is my personal favorite:
At the beginning of the summer I did an impromptu maternity shoot with a family friend. The the lighting in the house was perfect and I was inspired so I snapped a few shots. I'd love to do another maternity shoot. There is nothing more beautiful than a mother to be!
We took a little trip to the "Big E" today (For those of you that don't know, it's the Eastern States Exposition). Basically it's a huge Exposition with lots of People, Lots of Animals, lots of Vendors, and lots of FOOD. We were going to get a Maine baked Potato, but the line was waaaaaaaay too long and it was WAY too hot. We decided to get cheese fries and fried donuts instead (tasty and FAT FREE food. Ha! Yah right!). Here a few pics from today--- I would've taken more, but it was SO crowded. Better luck next year!
I had the pleasure of taking pics for my friend, Jan. Her daughter, Cassidy, is an absolute doll. She was a great sport - she was pleasant even when it was time for her to take a nap! I also took pics for her brother, too ... I have to upload them, but when I'm done, I'll be sure to post pics of them, too :).
In attempt to build a portfolio, I've been trying to do some free sessions. My very first session was with an 8 month old named Taylor (I work with her Momma). They say practice makes perfect...so that's what I'm trying to do (practice, practice, practice). The shots are by no means perfect- But her Mom loved 'em and I was pretty happy with the results, too (and hey, it was my first try).
I could really use some luck tomorrow. I have a second shoot with another friend and her six month old as well her her brother and his two boys. It should be fun --- I'm hoping to have some neat shots for them. Plus, I got a new flash (Thank You, Hubby!) and I'm dying to try it out! :)
